finished treasure box
I come across pretty wine labels all the time.. a benefit of living in Sonoma Wine Country. I began to think of ways to incorporate wine labels into home decorations. Here is my first idea, A Wine Country Treasure Box. I just used some pretty vintage wine labels that I found at a local antique store. I also used a tin basket from the craft store, Elmer’s Glue, white spray paint, and spray varnish.
If you are not from a wine region, I just suggest you use some labels, wrapping paper or other local paper ephemera that you like, to decorate your box with, in place of wine labels.
- The materials for this project
- Soda Rock Winery – wine label
- step 1 – white spray paint onto the tin box, while covering the wooden handle.
- step 2 – decoupage the label to the box
- This is the consistency of the glue and water to decoupage the label with.
- step 3 – Varnish and touchup.
